PROGRAM HISTORY

Our Program
Established in 2016, the Portola MUN team is a group of highly motivated students dedicated to learning the craft of diplomacy through Model UN. Winning numerous awards throughout the Southern California Region from conferences like Bruin MUN, University MUN, Tustin MUN, SOCOMUN, and beyond, our members excel in public speaking, consistently pushing the boundaries of effective communication, critical thinking, and collaborative problem-solving. Delegates new to MUN can learn everything from the basics of a conference to Best Delegate strategies through our weekly education program . Championing global awareness and understanding, the Portola MUN team is equally committed to making a tangible impact on our local community through PHSMUN II.

Portola MUN strives to create a welcoming environment in which delegates can exercise their critical thinking, speaking, and problem-solving skills. This diplomatic role-playing experience allows for personal growth, global awareness, and builds a network of like-minded individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact on the world.
